Hydrotech SA offers
a unique, water based, chemical which provides
a cost effective solution as a combined waterproofer and primer
for - Asbestos Fibre Cement Sheeting.
Hydrotech R270 reacts chemically on contact with cementitious substrates
– seals the pores in the substrate thus repelling the ingress of
water whilst allowing the substrate to breathe normally.
Tests have shown that, where painting
is required, an improved adhesion
of acrylic paint is achieved on substrates treated with Hydrotech.
Hydrotech R270 has been assessed by Department of Labour risk assessment
consultants and it has been shown that the chemical binders contained
in the product will fix the fibres to the sheeting
in compliance with the Asbestos Act. (OHS
test performed according to MDHS 39/4)
Hydrotech R270 has a low viscosity which allows good penetration
to the substrate.
Hydrotech R270 contains a long acting anti-fungal agent which together
with the waterproofing properties will inhibit future fungal growth.
